WISY FILTERING PRINCIPLE:
AUTOMATIC DIRT REMOVAL

wff-100-filtereinsatz-edelstahl-wisy-we-

THE SECRET:

The filter meshes inside WISY's filters are vertical.

Solids such as leaves, moss or materials from production processes are simply flushed past the filter and washed away.

Thanks to this simple design, the filter screen has a long service life and requires very little maintenance.

This is a crucial advantage over any type of filter with rather horizontal filter surface. They become clogged very quickly and require frequent cleaning.

IT SOUNDS UNBELIEVABLE, BUT IS VERY SIMPLE:
When water falls through a vertical tube, it tends to cling to the inner surface of the tube. This behavior is caused by adhesion forces which can be exploited to alter the direction of water flow. Solids do not behave in this way, they just fall straight down. Furthermore, they are captured by the fine stainless-steel mesh of the filter. Only clean water can pass into the storage tank or back to the production process.

SAFETY:
The cross-sectional area of the connected tubing does not change at any point inside the filter housing so that larger debris particles can pass straight through. Even a tennis ball washed off the roof cannot block the rainwater pipe.

LineAR 100

WISY‘s LineAr 100 Rainwater Filter has a vertical filter mesh. Leaves, moss and other suspended particles are simply flushed past the filter into the drain outlet. This is the crucial advantage of this design over filter surfaces that are almost horizontal and become clogged with dirt very quickly. These are commonly found in other products. The pipe diameter is uniform throughout the LineAr 100 Rainwater Filter. Even a tennis ball washed off the roof by rain can pass unhindered through the filter housing.

SUCTION FILTER
The suction filter is connected upstream of the pump in the storage tank. Floating and fixed suction filters are available. Two mesh sizes can be selected (for coarse or fine filtering). The operational reliability of a rainwater harvesting system is significantly enhanced by the suction filter which helps to reduce pump wear and prevent clogging of valves.

All suction filters consist of a stabilised, stainless-steel filter mesh. Two mesh sizes are available, i.e. a 1.2 mm mesh for coarse filtering and a 0.3 mm for fine filtering. The coarse mesh is suitable for use with pre-filtered water from storage tanks and other enclosed vessels. The fine filter mesh can be used for unfiltered water from open waters.
